Holly was married three times. She first got married to actor Danny Quinn. Both married in 1992, however, they divorced in 1993. In 1994, she dated Jim Carrey during auditions for Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. It was not offered to her, but they formed a bond while filming Dumb and Dumber. The couple married in 1996. They divorced after less than one year. In 2001, she got married to Francis Greco. He was a Canadian investor banker. The couple was blessed with three sons, Henry, George and Alexander Holly Greco. After marrying to Greco in 2008, Holly-Greco became an Canadian. They divorced at the end of 2014. Holly and her three children live in Oakville Ontario Canada. Holly, Grant and their families each created the A Fund in 1992 at Hobart and William Smith Colleges to honor her brother Alexander. Holly described him as an "boy with a lot of hopes, ideas, hopes and dreams". When Alexander died at the age of 14, he'd traveled all over Europe and Central America. She was a regular at Tootsie's bar as well as several other bars along Broadway. Alaina was the first winner of Lake Winnepesaukah's WinniSTAR Youth Talent Competition in 2009. She wrote and performed many songs, which included Leaving and Set Me Free, as well. Alaina began singing in 2009 after the death of her sister Holly Witherow who had been diagnosed with a tumor on the brain. This inspired her. Before Idol, Alaina worked at CiC's Pizza. She graduated from Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe School, Fort Oglethorpe Georgia.
